Le Bon Temps Boutique is the goal I never thought I would hit. I started my hairstyling career with Regis Corporation in 2009 as a stylist at Hair Plus in Sumter Mall. I soon became the manager later that year and my career took off! Through education of the company and of the industry, I became interested in all aspects of hair care. In 2013 I became a District Leader and managed Hair Plus as well as 4 Smartstyle managers. I enjoyed mentoring my stylists so much, I became deeply interested in education. In 2015 I began training to become an Artistic Director. Throughout this journey with Regis, I became passionate as a stylist and a mentor for others. I feel education is the key to success in all you do and I feel I can now give other stylists the freedom of creativity that I began to become hungry for in this journey. This is how Le Bon Temps Boutique was created. I believe all stylists can be great together through great leadership, motivation, education, and a fun team environment.
Monique is a curly hair care specialist, colorist, and Moroccanoil Artist servicing the Sumter, Columbia, Florence, & Manning areas in South Carolina, (and occasionally New Orleans) offering a no nonsense approach to styling and managing curly hair. After seeing a need for a stylist that focuses on an array of curly hair styling techniques, Monique decided to make curly hair her niche with the goal of educating the client on the possibilities of their curls, Monique prides herself on continuing her own education to better service you. Whether you're in need of bi-weekly maintenance, trims and treatments or a color transformation, Monique is more than capable to help you take your hair to new heights.
If you didn't hear, I'm from New Orleans and will always call NOLA home. I enjoy a good party and like to have a good time (hence the salon name "The Good Time Shop" translated from French). Sorry, I don't actually speak French but I do enjoy learning about my Creole heritage and digging deep into the stories through family. Speaking of family, I am a boy mom of 2 (3 if you count my Cane Corso) and a current Air Force wife but not going anywhere soon. I'm here to stay to service your curls whether you like to smooth them out, cut them often, or wear them wild and colorful like me!
Step 1: Review the Salon Policies, Service Descriptions, Cancellations and Pricing (found in the booking site) in advance. Please Click "More Info" for service descriptions and options.
Step 2: Write down alternative dates that may work for you. Sometimes great minds think like, and those great minds stray want the same appointment date/time as you. Word to the Wise: Do not wait or procrastinate! If the date you want is not available, quickly move to your alternative date(s).
Step 3: Set an Alarm. There is nothing worse than being prepared and then missing/forgetting the date and time. Although we will send out reminder emails and texts prior to your appointment, we don’t want you to miss out on your special date.
Step 4: Be quick! If you follow steps booking should be straightforward.
If your appointment is being cancelled due to symptoms of COVID-19, no fee will be due. Please note we will not be able to book you for at least 14 days from the diagnosis/testing date.
There is a 15 minute grace period. If you are more than 15 minutes late you may be asked to reschedule. You will be required to pay a last minute cancellation fee based on the service time booked before booking again. I also respect your time as a client so you will receive a discount off your service total if you have to wait more than 30 minutes.
If you are unable to make your appointment please cancel or reschedule 48 hours in advance to allow that time to be booked by another client. Cancelling inside of the 48 hour time frame will incur a fee based on the service time booked as followed:
0 mins-1 hr $25;
1-3hrs $50;
3-5+hrs $100.
No Call No Shows will never be allowed to book another appointment. You will be blocked from the booking.
